- Credit Check - Check your credit rating by visiting one of the three major credit reporting agencies, for example click here: Experian Credit Reporting. You are entitled to one free credit report per year as stated by California law as of 2004. Identify and straighten out any errors on your report before its too late.
- Mortgage Amount - Determine a comfortable monthly budget for the amount you are able and willing to pay on a mortgage for your new purchase, don't forget to include insurance and taxes. - Get Your Pre-Approved Loan - Find a loan to fit your financial needs. Visit the MORTGAGE CENTER. I provide a free service to connect you with a leading local mortgage professional. This mortgage professional will walk you through the steps and in no time they will provide you with the essential Pre-Approval Letter that will accompany any offer we make on a property.

Closing Costs: What to Expect
- Lender fees include charges for loan processing, underwriting, preparation and establishing an escrow account. Be sure you receive a "Good Faith Estimate" from your lender so you are aware of their fees.
- Third-party fees include homeowner's insurance, title search, and other inspections such as termite, property, roof etc.
- Other Fees include deed recording, state & local mortgage taxes, title fee, escrow fee, title insurance, loan interest, real estate taxes, and occasionally private mortgage insurance.
